I wanted to thank you for your support in this difficult time. As you know moving our mother to a care home was a difficult decision for my sister and I. We knew it was time to start making plans about a year ago but really did not know how to proceed. So many unknowns and the whole situation stressful for us. We heard about you and the services you provide and thought we would contact you for some how to information. What we got was much more than that.
You were very helpful in your support of us. You met with us in our home and gave us your knowledge of what to look for in a new living situation for Mom. You helped us know that it was the right thing to do for all concerned. You made us feel that we were not the bad daughters we worried about being because we knew that Mom really would have rather stayed in her home situation - a situation that was really impossible to manage and not safe or healthy for her any more.
When we actually had the date and the place set up, you were there for us again. One phone call and you made the time to meet us and help us take Mom to her new home. You stayed with her - when we could not face the situation - helped her settle in stayed with her through dinner and while she met with new friends. Then you let us know what had happened and how it was going. You were there when we turned into "Nervous Nellies" about when to go and visit and if to go an visit for the first while. You "held our hands" and provided a calm warm support that was so invaluable to us.
This has been a difficult time for our family and you have helped us all. You are warm and caring to Mom and she took to your right away. Your bright smile and cheery dress help her to feel comfortable going with you even when she didn't know you. You have re-assured my sister and I when we have our doubts. We know that going into the future if we need you too take a guardianship role when we are both away you would be there for us. It is comforting and a relief to have someone as professional, knowledgeable yet warm and caring as you on our team.
Thank you for all you have done and will do for us. We could have done it without you but it would have been much more difficult, draining and stressful for all of us. Thank you for making our road an easier one.
