Sharen Marteny - Certified Seniors Consultant

Sharen Marteny is a Certified Seniors Consultant with palliative and hospice pastoral training. Her expertise is the Seniors’ Retirement Industry. She was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, and now lives in Kelowna, British Columbia.  Part of her value belief is the importance of giving back to the community.  She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Kelowna with the Pleasantvale Homes Society for low income seniors. She also volunteers with the United Way Campaign, focusing on raising funds for registered charities that relate directly to seniors and is on the Advisory Board for the Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission, to ensure that issues relevant to seniors are addressed. In addition, she writes a weekly column called Seniors’ Concerns for the Sunday issue of the Capital News and a weekly column on Castanet.net.

She has extensive knowledge in the seniors’ retirement industry.
Her skill is assisting elderly seniors and their families through the many phases and types of transitions that seniors deal with as they age.  Without realizing it the family often expects the senior to do more for herself or himself than is possible mentally or physically. A seniors consultant can identify issues and guide the family as to what to do next for the safely of the senior. Dealing with this overwhelming process is Sharen Marteny’s expertise. Her passion is working with and for elderly seniors and their families.

“If you have aging family members across town or across the country and aren't sure what the best next step is, consult Sharen. Knowledgeable, caring and passionate about her work, you will benefit from her expertise.”
